Solo dev here: my first game, Movetio, is a free text-based mafia browser game built with Next.js. It’s in open test until 14 Nov 2026 and I’m looking for testers!

Crimes, smuggling routes, families, heists with roles, PvP. Casino uses in-game money only.

Feedback on onboarding, balance and mobile is very welcome. 18+.

Thanks, good points. Heist roles are indeed the tricky part to balance, and it’s one of the things we’re watching closely in this test. Long lists on mobile too: if you try it on your phone and something turns into endless scrolling, I’d love to hear where. For onboarding, there’s a short tutorial right now, and after the earlier feedback on this post we’re reworking it so it points at the actual parts of the screen. Starting new players on one clear first crime loop is a good idea, and I’ll take it into that rework. If you want to give it a go: https://movetio.com/

Quick follow-up on onboarding. I checked with our dev: new players start with 16 street crimes unlocked. The heavier crimes are visible but locked with an ‘unlocks at rank X’ note, and they open up step by step as you gain reputation and rank up (that’s enforced server-side). There’s also an 8-step tutorial covering energy, crimes, rewards, collecting, the bank, navigation, the station and the casino (in-game money only). It explains things but doesn’t yet walk you through an actual first crime. A version that highlights the relevant part of the screen at each step is coming soon. Your idea of a guided first crime is a good one. Would you make it mandatory, or skippable?
